Scorecard & Hole Descriptions
Hole #1 | Par 4 | Gold 349 | White 335 | Red 275 | Men HCP 15 | Women HCP 11 |
The shortest of the Par 4 holes. Plays slightly uphill to a relatively flat green. Often plays directly into the prevailing south wind. Favor the left side of the fairway. A chance for a good start.
Hole #2 | Par 3 | Gold 194 | White 176 | Red 113 | Men HCP 5 | Women HCP 17 |
Not the hole you want to have to play second. Entire carry over water with left the only bail-out. Even from there, though, an up and down is tough. If you walk away with par, you usually pick up at least one on the field.
Hole #3 | Par 4 | Gold 401 | White 385 | Red 284 | Men HCP 11 | Women HCP 5 |
This hole bends gently left with a green that sits at an angle to the fairway. Green opens up better from the right side of the fairway. Look over your putt carefully. Probably more downhill or breaking than you realize.
Hole #4 | Par 4 | Gold 401 | White 374 | Red 290 | Men HCP 3 | Women HCP 13 |
90* dogleg left with a blind tee shot. Come as close to the corner as you wish, but OB is on the left and fairway traps wait for you straight through the fairway. Green slopes severely from back to front with a good amount of slope from right to left. Another approach that must be below the hole.
Hole #5 | Par 4 | Gold 450 | White 414 | Red 349 | Men HCP 9 | Women HCP 1 |
Longest par 4 from the Gold. Avoid right on your drive to stay away from the Pine trees. Partially blind 2nd shot usually plays into the wind. Relatively small green, guarded by grass mounds. The “long time players” tell you to play one less club on your appoach due to the downhill fronting the green.
Hole #6 | Par 5 | Gold 485 | White 471 | Red 401 | Men HCP 13 | Women HCP 7 |
Even the short hitters have a chance to reach this green in 2 due to its downhill and with the wind approach. Well guarded by bunkers, for those that want to fly it on. A big green for a par 5, but it sits at an angle to your approach. Generous slope from back to front, but a realistic chance for a birdie.
Hole #7 | Par 4 | Gold 395 | White 358 | Red 343 | Men HCP 1 | Women HCP 9 |
Trouble lurks everywhere on this hole. Play it safe and it doglegs left, leaving you a longer club in. Trying to “cut the corner” brings into play OB , Pine trees, the no-mow, and the pond. Large green that slopes severely from back to front. As many big’s are made on this hole as any on the course.
Hole #8 | Par 3 | Gold 160 | White 129 | Red 119 | Men HCP 17 | Women HCP 15 |
Pick the right club, as this hole usually plays into the wind. Green is a generous size, but a lot of different slopes await you once you are on. A miss short or left of this green still gives you a chance for par.
Hole #9 | Par 4 | Gold 448 | White 435 | Red 348 | Men HCP 7 | Women HCP 3 |
The longest of the par 4’s from the white tees. Usually plays downwind, so this helps some. Very flat green sits there with nothing protectiving it. But, with the approach club you are hitting, it is tough to make the ball stay on this green. A good “press” hole to end the front nine.
Hole #10 | Par 4 | Gold 363 | White 348 | Red 289 | Men HCP 4 | Women HCP 12 |
Drive usually laid up short of the river. Too far back, however, leaves an uphill, medium iron to an extremely sloped green. Once you are on this green, your work is just starting. Small driving area and severely sloping green makes this our 2nd toughest on the back nine.
Hole #11 | Par 4 | Gold 381 | White 370 | Red 260 | Men HCP 6 | Women HCP 10 |
A semi short par 4 with the smallest green on the course. Elevated a lot which makes for a tough up and down. The fairly flat green does give you a birdie chance here, if you can hit the green.
Hole #12 | Par 5 | Gold 508 | White 498 | Red 420 | Men HCP 12 | Women HCP 2 |
Highway 27 on your left and the river to cross on you second shot. After that, usually a short iron into this extremely sloping back to front green. A chance for birdie if you keep your approach under the hole.
Hole #13 | Par 3 | Gold 163 | White 150 | Red 101 | Men HCP 16 | Women HCP 18 |
Slightly downhill, with a medium or short iron to a narrow target. A two level green can make for a fun experience on this green. Bail out is to the right.
Hole #14 | Par 5 | Gold 600 | White 520 | Red 465 | Men HCP 18 | Women HCP 4 |
Longest hole on the course, but does not usually play that difficult, as you can see by its handicap rating. Doglegs slightly to the right and a little downhill. Grass mounds protect this very large green. Par is often made with a good chance for birdie awaiting.
Hole #15 | Par 3 | Gold 210 | White 168 | Red 125 | Men HCP 10 | Women HCP 14 |
Longest par 3 from the Gold. Down hill, but often plays into the wind. This large green is well protected with grass bunkers, sand traps, Pine trees and the no-mow. Once again, you will find more slope to judge than first meets your eye.
Hole #16 | Par 4 | Gold 380 | White 354 | Red 290 | Men HCP 2 | Women HCP 6 |
The long hitters can clear the creek, leaving them just a short iron. Most have to lay up, leading to a longer iron or hybrid. The green is a generous size, but there are may differing slopes on and around this green. Tough to make par for most.
Hole #17 | Par 4 | Gold 366 | White 344 | Red 268 | Men HCP 14 | Women HCP 8 |
Slightly downhill and usually downwind. Keep it short or left of the pond, but avoid the no-mow on the left. On your 2nd shot, you must hit enough club to clear the creek, but the slope on this green calls for you to keep your approach below the hole.
Hole #18 | Par 3 | Gold 194 | White 160 | Red 120 | Men HCP 8 | Women HCP 16 |
Unusual to end with a par 3, but it makes for some interesting finishes. Creek runs along the left, the river hazard is to the right. A hole where distance control is very crucial. A lot of bets won or lost on this hole.
